Overview
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING ON ANY GIVEN DAY
As a Retail Media Team Lead & Project Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operation and strategic execution of global retail media programs for a Korea-headquartered client operating across multiple international markets.
This role balances hands-on platform expertise, structured project leadership, and client-facing communication in a fast-moving, high-expectation environment.
On any given day, you will:
- Lead retail media strategy and activation across major global platforms (e.g. Amazon, Best Buy, other key retail networks)
- Own operational planning and execution for multi-million-dollar media budgets
- Act as the primary project lead, managing multiple concurrent workstreams and priorities
- Translate evolving client challenges into clear execution priorities and team guidance
- Define weekly and monthly deliverables, ensuring timelines and quality standards are consistently met
- Provide hands-on direction to team members on campaign structure, optimization logic, and performance focus
- Oversee verbal and written client reporting, ensuring clarity, structure, and business relevance
- Develop executive-level materials that synthesize performance, insights, and next-step recommendations
- Make informed judgment calls in environments with limited or imperfect retail data
- Connect retail platform signals with broader business, category, and market context to drive performance
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THIS ROLE
You are successful if:
- Retail media programs deliver stable, scalable performance across markets
- The team operates with clear priorities despite multiple competing requests
- Client stakeholders trust your recommendations and operational leadership
- Reporting and executive materials consistently support decision-making
- Complex retail platform constraints are turned into actionable strategies
LEAD THE TEAM & CLIENT DELIVERY
- Lead and mentor a small retail media team, providing clear direction and prioritization
- Serve as a key client contact, confidently managing ongoing communication and expectations
- Act as the operational bridge between client needs and platform execution realities
- Foster a can-do, solution-oriented team culture in a high-pressure environment
DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?
- 6-8 years of experience in digital marketing, retail media, or e-commerce media
- Hands-on expertise with global retail media platforms (e.g. Amazon Ads, major retailer networks)
- Proven experience managing large-scale media budgets
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including executive-level reporting
- Comfortable leading teams and providing clear operational guidance
- Ability to think creatively and analytically within data-limited retail environments
- Strong ownership mindset, resilience, and willingness to tackle ongoing client challenges
