| Shift | The Medication Assistance Program operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Work schedules are subject to change based on departmental needs and patient demand. Standard shifts are not expected to exceed 40 hours per week; however, flexibility may be required. |
| Job Summary | This position supports the mission of the Medication Assistance Program by facilitating patient access to prescribed medications through copay support initiatives, manufacturer-sponsored assistance programs, and other affordability resources. Responsibilities include evaluating patient eligibility, completing patient applications, conducting follow-up communications, and coordinating care with healthcare providers and pharmacy teams. This role is essential in promoting medication adherence and improving health outcomes by reducing financial barriers to treatment. |
| Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are required, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, providers, and interdisciplinary teams. Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is essential. A solid understanding of pharmaceutical assistance programs, insurance processes, background knowledge of utilized EHR (Script Pro and Epic), and applicable regulatory guidelines is preferred. The role requires a compassionate, patient-centered approach, adherence to confidentiality standards, and a commitment to delivering high-quality support services. |
